Ghandruk Trek:

Ghandruk Trekking

Ghandruk is a splendid place that is blessed with huge Gurung village at 1940 m with confusing clusters of closely spaced, state roofed houses. This trek provides a good introduction into trekking providing some wonderful close up views of both the sacred mountains Macchapucchre (Fishtail) & Annapurna South. There are nearly terraced fields situated both above and below the town with wonderfully easy to get lost in the network of narrow valleys ways while trying to trek through the villages. It also houses a larger handcraft factory. Our destination is the beautiful and well adorned village of Ghandruk, home to visit the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. This is a refusing 3 days allowing an insight into mountain life.
