Arun Valley Makalu Trek:

Makalu Trekking

High in the heart of the eastern Himalaya, seven valleys radiate from mount Makalu which is the world’s highest peak. This area pockets some of the wonderful areas like Barun Valley with the last remaining pristine forests and alpine meadows, Arun Valley at just 435 m above the sea level; the Himalaya rises to the snowcapped tip of Makalu (8463m) with a 40 kilometers distance. Within this wide range of altitude and climate, the Makalu Barun area contains the valuable flora and fauna of Nepal. This region is also busted with diverse culture and traditions including Sherpa, Rai and Limbus. Walking North up to Arun River to Sedua and Num, the crossing Barun La (4110m) into the upper Barun Khola valley for a cusec look at Makalu, you can also visit the Sherpani col and west col into the upper Hongu Valley.
